Due to occasional variation in the mounting flange bolt-hole spacing on (some) automatic transmission cars, we are suggesting that you measure the (diamond) flange bolt-hole spacing prior to placing an order.
We request that you measure the flange bolt-hole spacing on your car to confirm that you will be obtaining the correct muffler for your application. The measurement of concern is the spacing of the bolt-holes on the (diamond) flange between the muffler and the end of the connecting pipe.
If your measurements match the specifications for “Auto Transmission”, then you will order muffler Part No. 2-56469.
If your measurements match the specifications for “Manual Transmission”, then you will order Part No 2-56465.

Constructed entirely of polished 304-stainless steel, this muffler will offer years of enthusiastic performance driving. The large diameter stainless steel tubing is designed to meet the demands of any stock or high horsepower application. This muffler has a split-Y internal design to deliver exhaust gas to each outlet for optimum exhaust gas flow.
The Racing Beat Twin Tip features stainless steel and ceramic sound-deadening insulation to provide the optimum exhaust note for your Miata. The sound is deep and throaty, without any harsh, buzzy or “droning” tones.
All Racing Beat exhaust systems are “tuned” in-house by their engineering staff to produce a modest exhaust tone at low speeds, with a bit more “attitude” under full throttle acceleration. But what's most important is they meet California sound level requirements. So their slightly louder note, and extra "attitude", is not offensive!
Each system comes complete with fully detailed instructions and mounting hardware, and can be easily installed by the weekend mechanic using only simple hand tools. A positioning template is provided to assist with cutting of the new opening for the additional outlet tip. The new opening can be cut through the soft urethane bumper material using only a small utility knife. A small sanding block is then required to “smooth” out the opening to the final shape.
