This beautifully proportioned vinyl stripe kit was designed by Mazda specifically for the 1990-97 Miata / MX5.
The tapered stripes have the effect of accentuating the subtle flare of the front and rear fenders. These subtle features often go unnoticed on an unadorned Miata, but not so with this kit. The affect of this treatment is the appearance of a more masculine sports car that looks that part of a performance roadster.
Additionally, this kit answers the question, once and for all, that the windshield header doesn't necessarily need to have stripes to look right. And the wrap-around cockpit affect of the kit gives it a complete look that belies the fact that it came directly from Mazda!
Can be applied to Miata with a plain trunk lid, or to Miata with rear spoilers (as shown above). Also the rear portions of the kit don't extend below the trunk lid. So the Miata isn't visually cut in half making it look artificially narrow.
