Then, just for fun, try this on your new Trunk Light:
Remove the taillight bulb assembly from the back side of one taillight. ( It snaps in place and it's easy to remove by squeezing the tabs and pulling the assembly straight back.)
Now peer inside the taillight lens to see the light go ON and OFF when you open and close the trunk lid. ( It is much easier if you do this in the dark. )
See?.. The light really does go off when you close the trunk lid.
Now all you need to solve your "other mystery" is a set of taillights in
your refrigerator door! ;-)
